1) How will you approach my project?

I’m so pleased you asked because the way I approach projects is what best differentiates me from many other writers.

You see, before writing a lick of copy, I put all my investigative journalism skills to work researching thoroughly in order to uncover your products or company’s unique advantages.

In that way the article, newsletter, Web content—whatever I write for you—accurately reflects the value message you want delivered.

2) Can you help with design for my project?

Yes, if your project requires design, I can generally do it. Or, I can call in one of several great graphic artist acquaintances.

3) How long will my project take?

For most writing projects I ask my clients to allow several weeks. That gives me time to research, write, rewrite and polish so I’m providing copy I’m happy with and that satisfies your needs.

Of course some projects such as newsletters with research and interviews take longer. Adding design and complete project management to the mix also will extend the time I need to complete your work.

4) What can I expect to pay?

That depends. And believe me I’m not trying to evade your question. Jobs have different specifications and require different time commitments. These determine price, and so prices vary from project to project.

That said you should know I attempt to keep my fees in line with nationally published standards. I also work by letter of engagement, which spells out the steps of the process and gives a detailed quote. In other words, you will know how much your project will cost before I begin. I bill most projects at a flat rate.

5) Who designed your Web site?
